New member, THX. Please take a look at my first Combo Rifle. Mfg 1/1931, maker TBD. 16 gauge over 8x57JR.
If anyone knows the logo, input would be appreciated!

I need a starting load for IMR 3031, I have 3 rounds loaded up with 35 grains to play it safe, 296 gr SP, .318. Any ideas?
THX

The bullet weight should be 196gr, not 296gr. wink

With the correct 196gr .318 bullet I would load 43 grains of 30-31, <<BUT, that's entirely up to you>>. I don't recommend any loading data. Get some IMR 4064 or R15 powder, and do yourself a favor.
